With 18 participants taking part in activities ranging from Solo Recitation to Modern Disco Dance and Comedy, the Centre was ably represented. Pride of Place must go to the Under 14 Comedy Group who won through to represent Cavan at the Ulster Finals. Performing ‘Abducted by Aliens’ in front of a packed hall, they had the crowd in stitches. Speaking after the prize giving ceremony, their teacher Niamh Smyth said ‘I am so proud of every one who took part today. It’s never easy getting up on a stage and performing but they all did and they gave it their best’ The Modern Disco Dancers also took home a medal when they came 3rd in their group. Their highly colourful and energetic routine was a joy to watch and I am sure that come next year they will be in hot pursuit of Cavan Gold.
