Meet our therapists

Lorna Breen

Lorna holds a B.A. in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy and is completing a Level 9 certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. She is a fully-accredited member of IACP (Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy), as well as a qualified and experienced social care worker with a B.A. in Social Care Practice and an M.A. in Child and Youth Care.
Lorna has worked extensively in the disability sector, provided support to women who have been institutionally abused and had experienced trauma, and has also worked a lot with young children. She has worked with vulnerable people of all ages and genders, and her experience has given her an understanding of the importance of mental health among marginalised groups.

Lorna uses an integrative approach when working with clients, incorporating humanistic styles of therapy and CBT techniques, with an emphasis on collaboration with the client. She has worked with people experiencing depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation and bereavement, as well as sexuality and identity issues.

Lorna believes that every person can heal and grow when supported with patience, empathy and without judgement.
