Paddy Hanna

Paddy Hanna holds a BA degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Dublin Business School.  He is an accredited member of the Irish Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (IACP). 
Paddy has ten years experience. In the past in conjunction with his work he has worked as a volunteer counsellor with Living Life Counselling Bray for 7 years and was a member of its Ethics Committee. 

Paddy has a particular interest in Dual Diagnosis issues (i.e., dealing with emotional illnesses and addiction). He has facilitated orientation groups in St Patrick’s Hospital for patients with Dual Diagnosis issues.  He adopts an empathetic approach to these issues drawing on his personal experience and professional knowledge.

In helping clients who experience anxiety, depression and/or addiction, Paddy advocates mindfulness and meditation in conjunction with a healthy lifestyle to counteract these difficulties and to help clients to change.  Paddy’s therapeutic approach is integrative, encompassing Humanistic, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic techniques.

Paddy supports clients with a range of issues, including :

- Grief and loss
- Trauma
- Relationship issues
- Anger management
- Abuse issues
